The academic year has come to an end and we have concluded all the admin, paperwork and meetings to finalise the results with our circuit manager.

Congratulations to all the learners who have reached their goals or who have even surprised themselves with their results. Consistent hard work definitely pays off.

There have been some exceptional results and special mention must be made of Hunter Versfeld (Grade 11) who will be receiving Honours Cum Laude at the start of 2025 for achieving over 90% for both June and November. Sibabalwe Kholisa (Gr 9), Shivam Vassan (Gr 9) and Michael Dowie (Gr 10) also attained a final average above 90%.

We will be awarding 58 Colours Awards, 37 Honours Awards, 1 Honours Cum Laude, 341 Merit Certificates, 86 Academic Badges and 89 Merit Badges in the first week of next year. This is very rewarding and I encourage learners who might have just missed an award to give of their best to achieve it during the course of 2025. A reminder that the actual raw total is used for awards (no rounding up).

The key to academic success is work ethic. Learners who work consistently, perform well automatically as they are up to date with all their work, listen in class and ensures that all tests, assignments, projects are done properly. This removes the unnecessary layer of anxiety that appears when there is academic pressure. I challenge all the learners to TRY work from day one and to see if consistent work actually has a positive impact on their results. This will be discussed more with the learners during 2025.

Textbook collections will be concluded tomorrow and then on 15 January all learners who have paid and not yet received books will be issued their text books and stationery.

Reports will be emailed on Friday during 7am and 2pm. It is a long (automated) process that will send about 1600 emails, so should you not have received it after 2pm, please send me an email ([email protected]) and I will forward it to you.
